Post-Draft Fantasy Impact
The biggest surprise of this year’s draft was the fall of quarterback Will Levis. After being touted as a potential first-overall pick, Levis finally found a home in the second round with the Tennessee Titans. Levis is currently third on the depth chart behind veteran Ryan Tannehill and second-year quarterback Malik Willis.
While it’s unclear how much playing time Levis will see in his rookie season, he may benefit from having time to develop instead of the pressure of carrying a team right away. This could provide Levis with the opportunity to learn and grow as a quarterback without the immediate expectations of being the starter.
It’s difficult to project Levis’s fantasy football impact in his rookie season because of the uncertainty surrounding his playing time. However, if he were to begin the season as the starter, he would be behind only Anthony Richardson in my rookie quarterback rankings. Levis has a strong arm and good mobility, which are both valuable traits in fantasy football.
In redraft leagues, if you’re drafting now, it’s worth taking a late-round flier on Levis. While he may not start the season as the starter, he has the potential to be a valuable player down the road. For dynasty leagues, I’m pretty high on Levis. I think he’s a future star and if you can get him now at a discount, it’ll pay off down the road.

Will Levis, senior quarterback from Kentucky, is considered a boom-bust prospect with comparisons that range from Josh Allen to Jay Cutler. Levis began his collegiate career at Penn State, but transferred to Kentucky after his sophomore year to get more playing time. Levis broke out in the Wildcats system and became a legit NFL prospect during his junior year.
In his two seasons starting at Kentucky, Levis threw for 5,232 yards with 43 touchdowns. He also had 11 rushing touchdowns. He was named team captain both seasons and led the Wildcats to a 17-7 record and a victory in the Citrus Bowl.
Levis is projected to be drafted in the first round, with an outside chance of being selected first overall. His prototypical size and raw talent can’t be ignored by quarterback-needy teams.

Positives
One of Levis’ biggest strengths is his arm strength. He is able to throw the ball deep downfield with ease, which allows him to make plays that other quarterbacks might not be able to make. His release is effortless, which allows him to get the ball out quickly and accurately.
He’s an elusive quarterback, who is able to avoid pressure in the pocket and make plays on the run. He has good athleticism which allows him to move around the pocket and make plays with his legs when needed.
Another positive aspect of Levis’ game is his ability to perform under pressure. He has shown that he can make big plays when it matters most. The pressure is much higher in the NFL than it is in college, so a quarterback needs to already have that skill set before becoming a pro.
Levis played in a pro-style offense at Kentucky, so he has experience with the types of plays and strategies that are commonly used in the NFL. This can help him to adjust to the higher level of competition and be more effective in the NFL.
Levis has a prototypical size for an NFL quarterback. At 6’3″ and 232 pounds, he has the size and strength to compete with the bigger and more physical defenders in the NFL. He has shown he can take a beating and play through injuries.
Negatives
One of the biggest areas that Levis needs to work on is his footwork. While he is able to make plays on the run, his footwork when he is in the pocket needs improvement.
Another area where Levis needs to improve is in his ability to read defenses and make adjustments. He has a tendency to struggle with blitzes and changes in coverage, which can lead to turnovers and other mistakes. He needs to work on recognizing these situations and adjusting his game accordingly.
Levis also needs to work on being more patient in the pocket. While he has the ability to make plays on the run, he needs to learn when to stay in the pocket and go through his progressions.

Will Levis is a quarterback with a lot of potential, but also some areas in which he needs to improve. His arm strength, athleticism, and ability to perform under pressure make him an attractive prospect for NFL teams, but he needs to work on his footwork, reading defenses, and patience in the pocket in order to be successful. If he continues to develop his raw talent, he has the potential to be a successful quarterback in the NFL.
